help my x990 has stopped working

You seem to be a great bunch at CPF always giving help and advice so i wondered if anybody could help me.
I`ve just recieved my X990 from Greg at Brightguy and charged the battery up according to instructions.I then attached the battery and switched the light on, it sruck up and ran to full brightness[WOW HOW BRIGHT]after about 20 secs i turned the light off.
I then went outside switched the light on it sruck up and ran to full brightness i played about with it for about 5 mins then turned it off.So far so good i then switched it on again but nothing happened,maybe the battery wasn`t fully charged i thought so i went back and charged the other battery up.When light on charger turned green[fully charged]i attached this battery to the light and switched it on but nothing.
I emailed Greg but he is away for 3 weeks Brightguy replied to say they will contact McCulloch and let me know what they say.
I just wondered if i am doing anything wrong the light worked fine but now refuses to switch on.

doesn't sound like you are doing anything "wrong". i have forwarded this post to Cam @ mccullock motors, usa.

It very well may be an already thinning/loose solder on a connection that might've melted from heat... One of only a couple of reason I can think of that would prevent the light from turning on, after it was working perfectly fine... The other being a prematurely dead bulb...

McCulloch says return the light, and they will replace it

Thanks Mr Ted Bear,i`m waiting to hear what brightguy[who i bought it from]say.Hopefully they will say the same.
It just pees you off when you order the light on 4/25/03 it arrives on 6/26/03,works for 5 mins then packs up working and you`ve got to send it back.
Well thats life,i`ll nave to order a SF10X to get over my depression!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif
