Hello: I have a Mcgizmo Haiku UV LED that I use for various nature applications, for example scorpion hunting.

I have been following advise of not tempering with Haiku head, but there are just some times I wish to have a uniform bean for florescent photography; another UV LE seems redundant and expensive.

Since most plastic diffuser blocks UV, I am thinking about if is possible to replace F0x filter with a bean-blast glass window?

Is there suggestions of how to process or is there better ways/existing offerings/mods for a multi-use diffuser? I'm a newbie in terms of flashlight mod.

Thanks!

Doesn't the Haiku use a 365nm LED? PMMA (acrylic) is basically transparent to UV down to 300nm, essentially the same as borofloat and soda lime silicate glass.

Does surefire F04 uses PMMA? I have two F05 and thinking about replacing one with a frost glass, but if F04 works...

You'll have to ask SureFire what material they use for their diffuser. My point was to suggest that PMMA could also be used, besides glass, if you replace the existing filter. You asked about "suggestions of how to process or is there better ways/existing offerings/mods for a multi-use diffuser".
