Help with DX order....

I am not sure where to post this, mods please relocate as needed if this is OT.

On 2/18 I placed an order-

6P drop in:

CR123 cells:

Sent payment, items indicated in stock on my invoice/order.

I check back on the www site on 2/20 and it says the 6P drop in (6090) is on back order until 3/20. My invoice still has both the cells and drop in at quantity=1 each.

For those familiar with DX... what can I expect on my order? can I expect the drop in... or just the cells and a place in line on a waiting list?

What are the odds me me getting the last 6090 they had in stock?

thanks... I'm not impatient, Just wanting to know what to expect. I am fully enjoying my 6p in power-hogg (incandescent) mode.:twothumbs

Last time I ordered something, product page was updated as backordered three days later. Hoping I received one of the last ones as well. Well as I was wrong. Three weeks later I received the other items I ordered, but it contained a slip of paper saying that that an item I ordered was backordered and would ship separately when it was back in stock.

Took three weeks to know that my item was backordered at the time I ordered it.

Didn't stop me from ordering from them again, but makes it hard for me to recommend them to friends.

Placed large order towards end Jan. Next day all items showed as shipped (Order tracking - Get invoice option). I was amazed and very impressed, short lived though. Next day many of these items changed from shipped to pending. Then you start seeing ETA dates, 2nd and 3rd shipments etc. What makes it even better is that an ETA date changes to shipped and the next day to a later ETA date. Some of these items that I am waiting for may have manufacturing problems and that is the only reason why I am not pushing them too hard (MTE 5-Mode 100 Lumens Rebel Flashlight (AA / 0100 BIN) and UltraFire C2 Cree Q5 5-Mode LED Flashlight)

Willing to wait, but not too long for non call-back Rebels and beter manufactured UF C2 Cree 5 mode.....

Will praise them with mixed feelings if I receive good quality products, but will also shoot them down if the quality is not up to standard. Good luck with the waiting game.:paypal: :confused: :whistle: :thumbsdow :thumbsup: :ironic:

I placed an order with DX in October. Received the smaller part of the order in November (batteries.) I've never gotten the rest of the order or a refund, and nothing but a runaround since. I wrote it down to experience and I won't order from them again . That's my experience, hope yours is better.
 
DX is terrible about updated thier website, ive order more then one thing that i only found out is on backorder after i ordered...

but they supply stuff i need cheap...so i would still reccomend them...

they usually ship stuff in your cart first if the other thing is on backorder..but also, the time they take to actually ship stuff varies alot..

OK thanks... I am hoping I get lucky, theres nothing on my order documents to indicate my items did not ship. I know theres a cheers & jeers section to really get serious. I am neither cheering or jeering them at this point. Just making observations and questions about my recent order.

QUESTION:
On my invoice it says "Shipped"
next to both items. What does that mean? does that mean they have shipped to me? or does that mean they intend to ship when inventory is available?

If the Invoice says shipped, they shipped what was available of your order. Perhaps they got the whole thing, but they won't tell you if each individual item has shipped, just that your order has shipped. So if something's backordered, you won't know until you get your invoice. At least, this is how it was for me, as I waited 3 weeks for something to show up, only to have 1/2 my order and a "This item is backordered" Slip in a box. Waited another three and a half for the other item to come.
 
If there is a reasonable chance of a dealer responding to questions of this kind, the proper forum may be used at the marketplace. Currently we cannot move threads between the forums so we'll close this thread. If it meets the criteria, it may be re posted there.
