I just called Energizer about their DoubleBarrell lights. Since the 6AA & 8AA are discontinued, the lady I spoke with would not help me. The only thing she suggested was sending them my 6AA & 8AA lights and they'd send me 4AA lights. NOT!

So, where can I get replacement bulbs for these lights? Does W/A or Carley carry the replacement bulbs? Any online vendors selling just the bulbs? Any & all info you guys have on these lights would be greatly appreciated.

Well, yes, I have browsed it...I just get confused though at what to look for, what I need, what configuration I need, what voltage, etc...

Besides, I was thrown off when the lady at Energizer told me the bulbs were made by GE. I even asked her again since I thought I had heard that W/A had made them. She said that GE did so I dropped it...

So, while we're at it:
DB 4AA stock: #????? overdriven options?
DB 6AA stock: #01286 overdriven options?
DB 8AA stock: #01288 overdriven options?

I think I'll compile a spreadsheet and/or database with this information once I can gather it.

Especially since I can't seem to remember these things as easily as you can, Lemlux.

Aww.... just link up the DB6AA to serial and run a Mag Charger Bulb in it with 6 rechargables....

Chris: At this point I suggest you seach CPF for all the discussions on alternatives.

Energizer originally sourced the bulbs from W/A. The old DB4AA and DB4AAA bulbs were T-2 1/4 bipins as are the DB6AA and DB8AA bulbs. The current production bulbs are someone elses (apparently GE) smaller diameter bulbs (Somewhere around T 1 1/2) placed in a white plastic adapter base with the wider T-2 1/4 pin spacing.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">A local K-Mart has the 6AA bulbs on Clearance for $1.50 each. Last I looked they had like 15-20 left a couple days ago.

A local Office Depot or Office Max has the newer 4AA flashlights with the smaller bulb and the single screw battery cap.

K A -
Could you pick up like 4-5 for them and ship them to me if I paid you like $10? Either post here, PM or email me and let me know, OK?

What do I need to do (specifically) to the DB 6 AA to get it to run in serial?

I hadn't thought about getting a Mag Charger bulb and using NiMh's

Thanks!

Eh, I got the pics, lemlux gave me the instructions last time. Let's see if I can get quickbeam to host it on his site. Site tight!
