Help with Inova Warranty Repair (Happy Ending)

The tailcap switch on my Inova 2008 T2 is having problems and I'm ready to send it in to Inova as per their lifetime warranty. I don't see much of anything on their website regarding the procedure for this, and I am debating between e-mailing them for instructions (and likely waiting a few days for their reply), or just sending it in with a note.

I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has gone through an Inova warranty repair and has any tips, suggestions, etc.

I recently done a review on one of their 2008 lights and had to call customer service for a couple of questions. If you go to their web site there is a customer service number. I'm sure they can give you detailed instructions.

The telephone worked better than email when my Inova light had a tailcap issue. I had to followup an email I sent with a phone call a few weeks after not receiving the replacement tailcap which had been promised. I did not have to return the flashlight.

Thanks, gentlemen. I think I'll give them a call tomorrow AM. It would be nice if they'd just send out a tailcap w/o my having to return the flashlight.

you need to call or send an email to get an rma number then u can send it to them i have to do that with my 2008 t5

Well, this AM I called Inova at the main no. on their website (401-294-2030). The robot said punch 7 for C/S, so I did. A very nice lady named Dot answered immediately. I told her the problem, she took down my address, and said they'd mail me a new tailcap.

So far, this has been about the fastest, easiest warranty service I've ever had (fingers crossed).

I'll update when I receive it.

That is the same lady I spoke to. Sounds like your on your way. Let us know what happens. I now own the new T4 rechargable which I'm liking more every day. It will be nice to know their customer service is top notch also.

I wanted to give the happy conclusion to this little tale. After speaking over the telephone with Dot at Inova on 4/14, I waited a bit over a week, but no tailcap. On 4/22, I called Dot back, and she remembered our previous conversation, and said she had put the tailcap in the mail right away, as is her custom. She very kindly told me she would just go ahead and send out another one. The second one arrived today and works just fine. :)

My T2 is now happy and so am I. Thanks, Dot and Inova, for taking care of me. :thumbsup:
 
Same person helped me after I lost my t3 tailcap in a blinding snowstorm. She sent me a replacement with no questions asked. Great customer service!

Glad to hear it work out. It sure makes you feel confident when you purchase another Inova product, don't it?
 
I also had good luck with Inova customer service with a phone call.
