The short of it is you can shine your high powered laser into the sky unless the federal laws have very recently changed. For details read the sticky.

Yeah - sky shining is okay - the whole reason the greenies have taken off so well, is in the past they were merely used as astronomical "guide lights" if you will. Always err on the side of caution, though - be sure to check for any aircraft in the vicinity - don't want ANY issues with the FAA !!! Uhm, or the little black helicopter squad that some seem to think are lurking around every corner !:naughty:
