Or any one else who may have had in their possession both an Arc LS and a Surefire E1.
Just curious. I just received an E1 today for the first time. It advertises 15 lumens and is pretty bright for it's size. I believe the lumiled rating is somewhere in the same neighborhood so I'm interested as how the Arc LS compares to the E1 in brightness and wondered if you could give any comparisons. If it approaches the E1 in brightness then it will indeed be a helluva light.
My take on the E1. It is bright for it's size, probably as bright as a good 2D cell flashlight and maintains that amazing Surefire beam quality and whiteness. However for a guy and I don't have super big hands by no means, it is awkward to hold at least when using the pushbutton tailcap in the momentary postion. The extra length of the E2 is more ergonomic for this purpose and is of course considerably brighter although not four times as one might think by the E2's 65 lumen rating vs the E1's 15.
Still the E1 is a great light. Perfect for walking outside or household chores and a rated (haven't tested myself) 90 minutes off one CR123 battery vs. the multiple battery low times of other surefire lights.
