I have some buck regulators that will handle 400W. I need to power a 600W load. I plan to use two regulators in parallel. Should I split the batteries and put half of them into each regulator and parallel the regulator output into the load, or should I parallel the full battery output into the regulators and then parallel their outputs into the load?

Are you sure the regulators can be paralleled like that? Some will not share the load very well without additional circuitry.

Without knowing more about the regulators, I would not recommend paralleling both the inputs and the outputs. Unless you can tell us more, keep the batteries separate.

I watched a video on youtube last night. The guy says to put a .1 ohm 10W resistor on each converter output. He says that will make both regulators operate properly and share the load.
