High power IR Illuminators?

Does anyone know of a cheap way to get high power IR illuminators in the 850nm range? I am trying to give my CCTV cameras a boost -- they are getting older and their built-in LED"s are fading.

I don't want to spend hundreds, but dozens might be OK. Any good ideas for something that will last and reach out 50-100 meters?

There are replacement LED boards available on ebay, dx, and others for $5 and under. Most take 12V. Maybe a bunch of those will toss out enough light for you.

Or you can order Nichia IR LEDs to build the module by yourself.
They are very reliable.
