Went to the movies last night. We saw 3:10 to uma.Some jerk had his VERY bright cell phone open. He was making and taking call for 30 mins when I had it.Let me also say he was not quiet nor did he try and hide it.

After countless people huffed and puffed about him..I Took out my Deree Q2 ( smooth)..stood up and blasted him.Not a fast blast mind you...30-45 seconds of light.

When he finally had enough he cursed at me. I nicely asked how he liked it.He left his isle and came ( I assume) to have a chat with me.
...Seems I ruined his night adapted vision.

I guess he was able to see just as he got next to me.He turned around fast.Maybee he had no heart..maybee its the fact I bench 500 and look like it :p

**For those that have not seen 3:10..It was horrible I.M.O. At least 30-40 people actually left. It was very slow, bad action and plot..and the super bad guy turned out to be a sissy.

Why didn't he take his phone call outside, I don't know. :duh2:
 
I refuse to go to the movies ever again.I can't enjoy myself.too many rude distractions.Way to light em up.
 
Next movie I will bring my Boxer 24w...now thats a legit use for a HID.

I actually wish for another jerk :thumbsup:

While I applaud you for taking a stand in a movie theater (I can't go anymore, the a-hols RUIN it for me). Be careful man...I know you are a big guy, but a puny idiot with a gun can kill you dead, or leave you crippled. A fast scrappy moron with a knife can end your life. I train in various martial arts, an am pretty confident in my abilities (one of my main training partners is a 6'5"" 270 blackbelt), I am wary...I can't dodge a bullet......yet.

I'll have to admit, while it makes an interesting "flashlight used to blast an idiot" story.... I feel the best course in this type of situation would have been to contact an usher or manager of the theater and asked to have the situation resolved or given your money back.

Also, while it sounds like you are in good physical condition, and feel confident enough to pursue this type of action, I believe this could easily send the wrong message to many less well trained forum members, leading to an incident with an unfortunate outcome.

I know you don't exactly subscribe to the idea of "political correctness", but I'm hoping you wouldn't want to encourage other folks here to follow your lead and start blasting away at every moron who talks loudly in a movie theater.

By the way, I certainly would not have waited 30 minutes to make a scene and have that person either quieted down or removed from the theater. I believe totally in standing up for our right to enjoy a movie without those kinds of distractions. I simply would have used what I consider to be a more responsible method to achieve that goal.
 
If only people would treat people like they want to be treated. Common courtesy and manners seem to be slipping away from our culture. I can take care of myself and there are times I want leap over the chairs and starting wailing on an inconsiderate a**hole but I restrain myself for all the reasons I've seen above but I can totally get where fastcar is coming from. You gotta wonder what that guys kids are or will be like with that kind of role model.....and so the slide downward continues.

It's down to the feminization of society.

Not all that long ago, men would commonly stand up and do what was necessary to enforce some minimal standard of behavior in public places.

Nowdays society produces too many "girly" men who won't take that initiative.

We can see the results all around us in the breakdown of norms of polite behavior and common courtesy in public places.

I AM a 6'1 300 LB powerlifter and Marine.

I look foward to some ******* testing me.Would not be the first gun or knife I had pointed at me..or stuck in me.Perhaps after afgan' and iraq im partly numb.Hell, for months after I got back I would duck and cover in public when a car door slammed.

I stand up for what I think is right..I am ruthless and wont EVER quit.

I was actually wishing that jerk DID take a swing at me to be honest.

I never look for trouble , but im sure as hell not going to back down.


While im at it:
I think kids play 2 many video games. As A kid I was ALWAYS outside doing kid stuff.Devorce is like 70% now or near it.Men get eyebrows waxed and pedicures. Men ARE sissies.Maybee im old school like my dad.As a kid when I did wrong I got an *** kicking...2day we have difis ( spelling) kids are bad and do stupid things..gangs are in small towns.
MY own little quaint town has a "BLOODS" tag on a main road.
When "tough love" ruled..things were better I.M.O.

I love America, and my family..And Im not scared to type that.
I eat red meat, carry a gun, chop wood and smack a wise mouth guy if needed.

I think Quint said it best ( Capt of the boat in the movie Jaws)..Cant find a decent man under 60 these days..I agree 100%.

IF it happens again..I will blast another jerkin his face and not think twice.

For this type of scenario, a portable cellular jammer comes handy, will do the right job. Jamming that joker's communication outright in stealth. Heh, heh.

Lets figure out a way to modify a flashlight so it can send out a beam or some 'positive' radiation to blast out cell phones, and whenever some clownhole talks in a movie theater or restaurant, just point it at the offender and :poof: no more fu@%in chit chat!!!!


* this to be no more radiation than say 1 little x-ray...:p
