From your other thread, it seems like a tight beam headlamp would be better for you. Now, a quick note: Lumen = overall output. Laser = High lux, low lumen, Flood light = high lumen, low lux.

As for actual suggestions, I'm not much of a headlamp guy so I'm not sure. I know there are cheap zoomie headlamps, but quality is probably hit or miss.

Thanks for the welcome ! this is an awesome forum !!! I guess what i'm looking at is i can get a light with 900 lumens and 50000 lux for $260 from a reputable guy, but i started looking around and seen that they are pretty cheap for the bicycle type headlights so i'm just curious if i can buy or build cheaper on here than thru the other guy, i'm assuming he is making a pretty fair margin, the lights are spectacular and the cost is not that terrrible though so i'm just a curious do it yourselfer lol..
