Hi, thought I would combine two interests: flashlights and news. Well, basically headlines. I still get a lot of stuff in print but online headlines would be great too if you wanted to add to the conversation. And don't forget to throw some light on the subject! And to answer the headlines question, give me tequila.

I suppose if you lived outdoors, Southern California is a better choice than Duluth, but it's a real mess. Especially with all the cheap and highly addictive drugs available courtesy of Mexico and China. This maglite is dim and needs to be Malkoffed.

China may be bigger but is Japan better? China's definitely cheaper. Got some 21700s for half the price of a Japanese model, though I still buy plenty of Japanese battery products.

Inflation is often caused by scarcity and high demand, and when you add logistic problems, could it be another bout of the 1970's? That era is often romanticized but was pretty grim for a lot of Americans. My favorite containers are always oveready.

GM sure was awesome in the day. Had a 56 bel air, 65 impala, Grandpa always had a Chevy or a Buick. My mom's old garage fridge from the 50's is still working with a gm motor. Old tech is cool but my brother's pacemaker is lithium powered with blue tooth and he's back biking 70 mile rides without battery assistance.

What is China's problem? Control everything! So if you read a Chinese newspaper or news app in America, Europe, wherever, it's going to be party propaganda. Thank God we still have choices, not always good choices, but hey, that's up to you. I got this junky lantern after the '94 quake and I think it has the original bulb after dropped in attics and dragged in crawl spaces. Of course now I have a lot of better choices- all leds.

Never understood this combo. I get the knife/flintlock pistol or the cane sword, but a hatchet pipe? Nowadays flashlights are stuck on all sorts of devices, even this portable work light has one. Ok cheap light and runs on 18650s.

Hybrid maybe, but all electric? Maybe in 20 years after they work out the bugs. Not much electric or chip in this light.

I'd eat a bug to sell you a car! I guess I'd eat a bug. Funny scene in Lonesome Dove where cook feeds the hands grasshoppers for dessert and they liked them. This mdc has the lowest lowlow setting I've seen.
