Hey guys! So I just recently purchased my first LED flashlight and need help charging the batteries for it. Basically I am lost using the Accucel 6. I read the online manual for it but it doesn't really help me much. I need help with the parameters that it asks for before I start the charge.

battery- aw18650 2900 mah
charger- accucel-6

Thank you Norm for the link! It helped explain a lot. But now I have another question...So from the link you posted the author suggests using 70% of the mah as the charge current. Which, would be right around 2000mah. The accucel 6 that I have asks for the charge current in "A" so I am assuming this is amps. With that said do I convert the mah into amps and plug that figure into the charge current (2A)?

Basically you should use the factory li-po settings 4.2v cut off .9a charge rate. You can charge them a lot faster but check the manufacturers recommendations. There a lot of videos on youtube Most of these people will be using hobby chargers for Balance charging multi-cell packs. The first time I tried my B6 I almost threw it in the garbage, I was lost! Once you start using them they are actually pretty simple.

There are a bunch of these kind of chargers out there. All all work pretty much the same way.

Hi eman39,
70% is correct that would be 2 amps. That is .7C for the battery. Normal the battery manufacturer will list the max charge rate. If you cant find a max charge rating then .7C is a good safe charge rate.

2 Amps = 2000mA just shift the decimal place.

The standard metric units are shown in this table.
