Anyone have any suggestions for a quality holster for an e2e w/ KL1, the original lamp assembly, and maybe a few spare batteries? I was looking at blackhawk stuff but there's so many different sizes and configurations that now I'm totally confused on what will be the proper size and fit for what I need. Compactness and low weight are key. However I would give up some compactness and weight if it were waterproof. At the very least it needs to hold everything together snugly and offer some protection, even if only in the form of cushioning.

In any case I'm looking for some ideas. Perhaps some of you have already gone through this and found something that works.

***EDIT** I used the term "holster", but I just realized that probably wasn't the right term. I really mean more like a bag or container .... So, just something that opens up to store all that stuff. What I want it for is to have something to store all that stuff in so I can just throw it in a backpack for later retrieval on trips.

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">These are excellent and also come in black. Sizes 2000 and 2500 will hold most regular 2x123 Surefires + lamps, batteries, etc. They are tough, watrerproof, have anti-shock lining and also look good.

tibim,
I might suggest the Ripoffs CO-124 holster, This is a 3 pocket holster. The smaller light pocket will hold the E2e with KL1. The larger one will hold 4 123 batteries + put the original E2e head in an empty film case & pot it on top of the batteries. Then you have the back flat 3X4 pocket for things like money or your wrist or neck lanrard. This would give you the option of cliping it to you belt. If you just want a bag, check Walmart for their small camera cases. TX

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Now now, I didn't mention anything about storing my pot in there.
So I guess I can just use the third pocket for my pipe, right?

I'd suggest looking at Big Lots at their "tupperware" style boxes. They're waterproof and some are even compartmented, but it might cost you all of 79 cents (or even as much as a dollar).

tibim,

Have you considered a kydex holster being made for you? I have one specifically for the E2e but the guy who makes these rigs is a real craftsman so I should think that it wouldn't be a problem for a rig to include room for a couple of batteries!

My rig for the E2e is just fantastic and is sat on my duty belt as I write this!

The guy's name is Eric at Onscene/tactical.

kind regards

I have a Unit from New Sun. It holds my E2, Treo 90, toll transponder, a sharpie, a pen, a small 10' tape measure, a white Photon II, and soon a Madmax in a *agAA in the side slot.

I'll take pics and post a review soon.
