Holster for TiPD-S

I just bust my McGizmo cherry and bought a Ti PD-S Mizer off Goatee. I'm a newbie so it is probably an ill advised choice but he was clean out of MiniMags!:p

The pocket clip will suit me for +90% of the time, but there are occasions when I'd like the added protection and security of a hoslter. Simple design in plain rubber or leather (jeez, sounds like I'm posting the wrong forum!), with space for a spare cell.

Can any of you guys reccomend a supplier or post pics of your carry methods?

Can't tell you how excited I am!!!!!!!!

And Don, in advance.

EDIT: Title change 09/04/07

Matt of ArtoftheHide used to make some really nice PD holsters. I don't think he is making them now. :(

CPFer kazu in Japan makes beautiful leather holsters. You pick all the options, and he makes it custom to your order after receiving payment. You do not need to send the light.

I had him make me one for my U2 and I am very pleased with his work.

Here is the thread.

Thats a bummer, Matt made some awesome holsters. I have one for a PD and one for the Spy, They are a true work of art.

Thanks souptree - I might give him a go as he's already got a PD order in from another CPFer

I've got 4 or 5 holsters/holesters from Matt and they are very nice. When he announced that he wasn't taking orders anymore, he hinted that he might make some as time permitted, but I don't think that's happened. Even so, they were to be of his choosing - no custom orders.

I found a black Victorinox holster that fits the PD like a glove.

The leather is very thick so it gives the already indestructable PD even more
protection in a pocket. There is also a cut-out at the back for belt carry.

Here is a link.

Also, since you're in Hertfordshire, you're reasonably close to the West End.

There's a shop called A-Z near Victoria Station which specialises in knives and torches
where I saw some.

Thanks for giving me a little taster of something I can't have :p. I feel much more secure knowing all your carry methods are catered for:nana:.

Got any pics - if I like them I may hold off and put out a WTB, suspect a long wait though???

I would carry it in a Surefire holster but that would be like drinking fine wine from an old boot.

He's pulled all the photos off of his website, and I just had sinus surgery this morning, so it would be a while for pictures. If you search CPF, FF, and EDCF, though, you should get some hits for "holester" (note the E in there).

This is a Kangaroo hyde for the Spy005

Matt at Art of the Hide has made me some real nice holesters. Here is a small sample of his work. ;)

Vertical & horizontal carry Spy 005 holesters. The hole in the front of the horizontal along with the exposed switch allowes the light to be operated and then used hands free in the holester. In the back, the PD holester that is on my belt right now holding a Ti PD-S. Matt named that one "The Thinster" :D

SWEEEET Croc Belly for a PD and Gator for a Raw.

The cool magnetic clip is secure but nice & easy to operate compared to a snap clip. I give Matt`s work :twothumbs

Those are beautiful holesters, Kenster.
And what is that gold-ish McLux sitting there so quietly?

Thanks Guys for the help and Kenster for his flashlight equivilent of the Playboy Calender - man you have some taste:twothumbs. I'm gonna have to put some locktite on my wallet now I've joined this place! (and respectfully suggest you do the same :nana:)

I've put in an order with Kazu for one of his creations but having seen your collections will look out for Matts stuff in future.

Cheers guys fo the input- a fine crew.

I agree Matt WAS the goto guy for leatherwork. Kazu's stuff is a bit on the lightweight side.
Have a look at LIFTERS LEATHER He does great stuff at decent prices.
Art of the hide may do some work for you if you beg...But I doubt it.
I used to order a new holester for every new light untill he stoped making stuff for us.
I have a feeling that someone must have pissed him off. Of well
Yaesumofo

If I recall correctly, Matt said it was simply taking up too much time. Like a lot of folks have had happen to them, a fun hobby turned into work due to his skill and resulting demand. I've heard good things about Lifter's as well.

The White Knight of Nomenclature is here to protect you from chaos and darkness. :nana:

The gold one would be a simple McLuxIII-PD as the nomenclature does not reflect the coating of a light. It is a gold plated classic PD. And it looks very sexy, too. :D

Howdy Bernie!
