Holster style

In the SF line of nylon holsters, there appears to be 3 type of attachments.
1. Perminante loop
2. Removable velco loop
3. Metal spring clip

I would like a removable holster, but am nervous about putting an $80 light in a holster that could come un-velcroed or unclipped.

Does anyone have any expericane with any of these removeable holsters?

Also, how do you typically use the clip on the light itself, if ever. It is secure enough for belt carry? Or do you use it in you pocket "spyderco style"
