How do I dissolve epoxy?

I need to remove a tritium vial from one of my lights. It has been fastened with clear two component epoxy:thinking:. Any advice apreciated.

If the tritium is on a part of the light thats seperate from the electronic components you could try boiling it it water

Yep, a few minutes in boiling water will usually soften up the epoxy enough to pry it out.

but if the tritium is at a place where there are ICs [say the bezel] it'll kill the light if you boil it. I heard acetone will work but I've had mixed results:candle:

Medium strength paint thinner did the job for me.
