I never tried to charge 2 cells together yet. I was waiting for the balance wires to attach it to try.Just trying to determine how your holder is wired ... when you
charge two batteries in the holder, does your charger charge to
4.2V or 8.4V ?
If it charges to 4.2V, then the holder is wired in parallel
If it charges to 8.4V, then the holder is wired in series
I am not sure whether or not you can balance 2 cells that are
being charged in parallel
Anyway, I based my wiring on LuxLuthor's thread here
http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=241266
I think you holder is wired in parallel because if it was wired
in series, you will not be able to charge just 1 cell
What kind of charger do you have ?
On my charger, I have to set it to charge whatever number of cells
it does not do it automatically
crap. good thing that i can swap those metal tabs. gotta find someone who can rewire it in series. The holder is wired in parallel (I think)
your not going to be able to balance charge any cells
with that holder
ya, i alerted it a while back.I am not familiar with the plug you have on the charging wires
but I can see a third charging wire connected to your holder
it is that wire that confuses me
Maybe you should ask the person who wired it up for you
how exactly it is wired up
You really need to get this thread moved to the Flashlight Electronics
section and get some better advice
Dont do anything to your holder until someone else chimes in
mine will be for 2 because i wanna be able to fit from 18650 to 32650 when they arriveNo problem.
Mine is set up for four cells, but I think the pictures make it easier to understand what has to occur.
