Does anyone know how far does the wolfeye Dragon I shine in foggy condition? the spec of the light supposed to be focusable. does it mean it can be adjust to slightly flood beam? Can anyone tell me? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

The beam can be adjusted very tight. My only reference is a TigerLight, and it easily out thru it. This was a clear night with no fog. Hope that helps, Larry.

Longer wavelengths (red, orange) penetrate fog better, the shorter the wavelength the more the light is scattered back and it will blind you more. I'm not sure how much light of the red end of the spectrum is in HID's. I think the best light for throwing far in a foggy condition is a very tightly focused incan light.

Yes, on a foggy night, HID is terrible if you want any kind of throw. But, on a perfectly clear night, there probably wouldn't be much of a noticable difference between incan and HID throw.

ok. thanks guys for the tip. I wasn't sure if I would buy it.I might buy it.
