^^ I probably have 15-18 Rayovac AAA Hybrids from around 4-5 years ago. Everyone I've checked lately are failing. High internal resistance and hold little capacity. Getting pitched.

How many rechargeable do I have? I donno.. I'm not about to go round them all up. But I'd guess at least 75 or more. Nimh and Li-ion.

I've got more than I can use and with most of them, I'm just running them down and charging them back up just so they don't sit and do nothing.

I'm holding off buying for another year, or two, in hopes of staggering things so they all don't wear out at the same time.

I have two 2012 sealed blister 8 packs of Eneloop Glitters that I don't know what to do with, lol.

quite interesting you guys know "exactly" how many batteries you have.
I honestly have no idea.. I have some special editions eneloops, but am unable to find the complete sets. So I really don`t know how many rechargeable cells I have.

with 18650 its a bit easier. I only have about 10. (I think)
I dont keep track of it :)

I have no idea how many I have either, nowhere near as many as people on here, a lot of mine are in devices so it's hard to count.

I see quite a number of threads about flashlight collections so I'm curious to the size of your rechargeables stash. Looking at some of the collections, I would think you'll have quite a collection of rechargeables too, unless you only buy few batteries for only the ones you actually use at a time.

As the title says, how many rechargeables do you have? What type and for how many flashlights?

I currently have a minuscule stash of 14 * 18650s for 4 lights, but both 18650 batteries and 18650 lights are growing though.

Probably around 40 eneloops of AA and AAA for about 7 AA / AAA flashlights and 4 headlamps.
I have 4 D ni-cd batteries, 1 aa ni-cd, 8 Powerex 2700 aa's, 8 Energizer 2300 aa's, 8 Duracell aaa's, and 4 Enercell 2500 aa's. 2 Rayovac Hybrid aaa's. i also have some chargers, one of them is a Maximal Power fc999.

I have already replaced all alkaleaks in my office and hope to slowly replace the vast majority of the alkaleaks in my house, with LSD NiMH It is amazing how many things take batteries and I like to have spares on hand.

Probably close to 100 AA Eneloops
Probably close to 100 AAA Eneloops
About 20 9v. Tenergy Centura
Eight C Tenergy Centura
Eight D Tenergy Centura

Given the expense of Li-Ion, as well as their tendency to deteriorate over time, it doesn't make sense to have too many of these. I try to limit them to EDC lights or lights that are sufficiently powerful that I need to go this route to get reasonable runtime. I like to have 1 spare on hand for each light I plan to use them in.

Four Eagletac 3400 mAh 18650
Two Keeppower 2500 mAh 16650

Wow, some impressive collections there. I'm away from home so don't have exact numbers, but I probably have 60 or 70 different NiMH batteries, and maybe 30 lithium ions of different makes and types.

I have a more exact accounting of all my chargers and analyzers:

Nitecore i4 Intellicharger (2nd gen)
Octa USB Charger from Cottonpicker
Nitecore i2 Intellicharger (2nd gen)
Maha MH-C9000 charger/analyzer (has Powerex brand name on front)
Opus BT-C2000 charger/analyzer
Soshine 2x18650 power bank
Soshine 4x18650 power bank
Duracell 4-bay AA
Tenergy 2xRCR123A charger
SkyRC NC2500 charger/analyzer w/Bluetooth remote control app for iPhone
Watson CR2/CR123A Rapid Charger
Xtar MC0 (3)
Xtar MP2
Xtar MP2s (3)
Xtar WP2s charger/power bank special edition
Four or five 10180, 10220, 10280 Steve Ku mini chargers
Lots of "dumb chargers" I don't use anymore

Quick guess: about 50 or so total,
  • ~30 AA NiMH ... mostly for external camera flashes ... various ages ... some should be thrown away
  • 2 vehicles (lead acid)
  • 2 for 2 million cp spotlight (NiCad?)
  • ~10 AAA NiMH (rarely used)
  • ~10 Li-ion for various cameras, from point-and-shoots to DSLR's
  • 3/8" drill with ? battery (NiMH? Li-Ion? ... need to check)
  • generally use "primaries" in LCD flashlight and head-lamp, but may rethink that

Bear in mind that some of us are handling cells (or even all electronics) for more than one person and sometimes more than one household.

In my case, that 200 cell pile suddenly looks a lot smaller when it's spread across two people, with occasional assistance for a third person as well. Some of them are ready cells for power cuts, others power my lights - over and above normal household requirements, that is - so that's spreading them thinner still.

Right, in my case there are three people in the household. Also, besides flashlights (a couple of which, such as the Nitecore EAX Thunder Hammer, use 8xAA's) there are some other devices that use 2 to 6 AA cells, such as my Brother D400 label maker (6), my ZTS MBT-1 battery tester (4), a postal scale, a Goal Zero Guide 10 power bank (4), two portable medical Nebulizers (4), and a couple I'm probably forgetting. All of a sudden 50 or 60 NiMH isn't such a large number anymore.

Give or take a few I have:
60 Eneloop AA's
30 Eneloop AAA's
20 Tenergy LSD D-cell
16 Tenergy LSD C-cell
4 Eagletac 18650 3400 mah
8 Eagletac 16340 750 mah
4 Eagletac 14500 750 mah
And some other random batteries

This may seem like a lot for some, but having 4 year old twins and a lot of toys that take batteries, I have probably cycled through these batteries 10 times already. Add to that the many packages of exploded alkalines I have thrown away, along with a few toys with exploded alkalines, I'm actually saving money.

I still store some primaries, but they are mostly lithium now.
