How to remove Zebralight neck lanyard cord from rubber holder?

I have the holder from my H30 which is Glow in the Dark, and I am going to use it with my H31 as it does fit ok. I just want to figure out how to remove the cord without cutting it to remove so I can reinstall the headband instead.

Not possible, because the ends of the nylon loops through the holder before being coated in glue and stuffed in one of those end caps. I too fussed over my H50 strap and eventfually just went with scissors on the holder. I tried later to remedy the holder using cold shrink tape but that didn't work too well.

not sure why they needed to use glue as I bought several lanyard ends to make my own and never needed to glue them as the drawstring attachment seals them once the end is locked in place.
