So I bought a multi-pack of 50 of these little batteries ..... but being dumb :ohgeez: decided to break them all out of the blister packaging and put them all in a small plastic bag ..... to save space ???

Anyway, the bag got real hot and melted !! :ohgeez:

How the hell do I store these now without risking burning my house down !! ?? :ohgeez:

saran wrap.
wrap them up individually so they dont contact eachother

Leave them in the blister pack and stick them into a drawer? The blister packs are relatively flat, they shouldn't take that much room. If you don't have a drawer that has room, a shoebox may be a low cost alternative.

First, I would take a voltmeter and check all cells. If any are below the correct voltage for new cells, toss them.

You can use a piece of styrofoam and push them in on edge.

Be thankful this did not happen after putting three or four cells in your pocket with change and keys. Others have.
