Hi guys, having been away from the flashlight seen for a while, i missed the whole Cree Seoul emitter craze.
I see the shop has some now, just wondering
I have a Lux III Downboy 750 in a Pr-T head, can i straight swap the Lux III
for a Seoul and still retain the Downboy 750?
what is the input current for the Seoul? is it 3V or is it like the Lux V, 6V?
cheers for any help
thanks guys
i am looking forward to ordering some Seoul emitters from the shop

also second question, will the McR27 in the existing Pr-T work with the Seoul
emitters or do i need the new McR27XR ?

best regards

I havent build any Cree or SSC flashlights yet, but i can answer some questions:

The Cree XR-E require 3.3 Volts for 350mA and could be driven to 700mA.
You need a Reflector who is deeper. Like McR XR Series.

P4-Bin:
350mA = 80.6 to 87.4lm
700mA = 150 - 160lm

SSC require 3.2 Volts @ 350mA and the max is 1A.
Housing and lens is simular with normal Luxeon Led = You can use regular Luxeons optics/reflectors.

P4-bin:
350mA = 91-118.5lm
1A = 240lm

Be aware of the tint shift from SSC P4. I exists some video in cpf, but actually I can't find them :ohgeez:

I ordnered also a SSC P4 from SS and I will put them in a minimag with a Badboy 400 & McR-20.

thanks Zelda
the specs on the SSC are indeed impressive especially at 1A, i will be driving to 750mA
looks like i will go ahead with ordering some P4
cheers
