Newly Enlightened
Great to find this group of folks. Until now I though I was the only one inflicted with this sickness.
It started back in childhood and has continued thru my adult life. I knew I was really hooked when, in 1983, I bought a case of lithium/sulfur dioxide batteries (3 volt D size cells)and discovered plastic flashlight reflectors could melt with enough heat from a halogen bulb.
And now I find I'm not the only person with this obsession.
Anyway, I've chosen the Energizer doublebarrel for my first LED conversion. I'm thinking of Luxeon/8AA, with a dummy/resistor "cell" in each barrel. I am open to suggestions from the group (I also have some of the 6AA models) and would appreciate any helpful hints.
