August is nearly over, and I'm glad. But forced to admit that this is the overall mildest August I can remember in decades! Some days felt like early May, instead.

Kind of sums up what hit NY area today. High was around 94 if I'm not mistaken.

What a time for my JEEPS A/C unit to not be working properly. ---> Sweat my #@s off. Going to need to get it looked at ASAP.

False Fall is being replaced with dang near Fall here. Jacket weather at 7am but short sleeves by 10am. A little sweaty at noon and a jacket is optional at sunset. But the skeeters are going "hurry up and eat 'cause it's about to turn cold around here". Deet is a must.

Awful. Worst drought we've had in 40+ years. The scenario, barring the odd cold front that doesn't last 2 days, has been 25-38º min-max temperatures and 11-30% humidity since mid August. Winter my right cheek.

Have you ever had such a dry and smoky day that the first rays of sunshine are crimson red? Even at 8:30AM when I started this draft, long past the sunrise, the sunlight is making everything look orange. It's worse than that urine-yellow filter they used in Breaking Bad for Mexico.
