Huge Advance in the Battery World

It is interesting, too, that they are obtaining confidentiality agreements in the face of two freshly issued patents. It sounds to me as though those patents are iterative, and not very broad. Thus, it would seem that they are seeking deep-pocketed players to license their patent(s), rather than exploit it themselves. From this I would surmise that if this technology lives up to the press release, it will spread rather rapidly throughout that industry. If it is a licensing play, then the stock will have an interesting few days, depending upon how large a float they have. Conversely, should the major players decline to license the technology, it will go back down very rapidly indeed.

I hope so. I use to read lots of neat ideas and designs in pop science and mechanics, but none of that stuff ever sees the light of day, so I quit reading it.

holly molly thats cool so smaler lights to man this is cool stuff

So now the 35 watt HID KumKang (just an ordinary lithium powered light at 5-6 lbs or so) may weigh less than 2 lbs. Holy Moly! Cool stuff, hope it pans out.

Does anyone remember the "Moody Diesel" engine?
It was developed, patented, published, sold for ONEHUNDREDMILLIONDOLLARS!!!, and has never seen the light of day since.

I would expect a repeat. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jpshakehead.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rant.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsdown.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/sick2.gif

I'll believe it when I can buy them at Walmart :-(

A battery with 3x the power of current Li-ion cells may not be
allowed to be purchased by ordinary consumers. Even current li-ions
are getting precariously close to 'explosive' status...

Tritium batteries....

Run a Google search for the inventor.

He said that when he used to hear stories about the strange things that transpire around new technologies and the people that invent them - he thought they were nuts.

He came up against big resistance.

The great car-maker, inventor and visionary, Tucker comes to me mind.

We have no tritium batteries...probably never will/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rant.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/Christo_pull_hair.gif

They would be great though.

Give me tritium batteries or give me death!
