hyper lux V vs. ft-3c

Does anyone who has both lights have any info as to which they like better.Which has better throw,sidesplii,etc?Thanks!

I have both. Hyperlux V has a much better finish and form factor than the ft-3c. My hyperlux's beam is smoother, whiter than the ft-3c's beam. The ft-3c has a tighter beam than the hyperlux, hence it has more throw despite the fact that it's total ouput is much less. Overall, I like the hyperlux more than the ft-3c, you should go for it.

I believe that you can get the relector now in the HL V. I got a HL I with the reflector and it throws really well.
Just a little penny's worth of info.

If throw is your main concern,
You might want to consider the HyperLux I.
It uses a LuxIII led and will throw better than the 5W version.

The 5W HyperLux V will have more overall night output though.
