I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?)

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

I posted about this in the Dealer's Corner. I'll post again here with any news on the E2L.

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

Definitely interested in the E2L. Maybe off topic, but are E2e and E1e lights now shipping with Z57 clickies?

The E1L is just the light I've been waiting for from Surefire. Thanks for the info and thanks to Lapolicegear for getting them in stock and letting us know - got mine ordered.

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

I just got the shipment in from LA police gear a few days ago. I would say it is a very nice light. I always wanted a E1e but I wanted something that would run longer and/or with more out put, so the E1L is like a god-send. I was so impressed by jpeg's Kl1 that I jumped on the change when E1l became available.

The only thing i noticed is that the extra length needed to accomadate the optics make the Kl1 much longer than the original E-series bezel such that the E1l is not that much shorter than the E2e, but it is just short enought to be loose-carried very comfortably.

Bonus: the E1l runs nicely on a single 4.2 volt R123.

Man I love Surefire.

And kevin yes it came with the clickies. I'm however torn between the z57 and the original tailcap, since the clickie is a little longer and contribute to the longer overall length, but It's not a bad trade off if you ask me...

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

My E1e i bought in september had a clicky, round body and semi crenulated bezel. My E1L has the same clicky, and according to SF the round/clicky E1e has only been in production for a month! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif like the post above concerning the lady at SF not knowing about the E1L,
I imagine it's that kinda "world class" CS that lost my info and cost me a KL-1 (I ordered 2 got 1)and stuck me for 112.00 dollars for the trouble.
I said it once,i'll say it again, find a good dealer for SF and work through them.VDG

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

Thanks for reminding me that this E1L will run on the rechargeable RCR123's! Just got mine and it's great. Really has a throw but it's very different than the L2. Nice hot spot but little side spill - which up real close is a little different looking compared to the other Surefires but at a distance - anything over a few feet it's an awesome light. Not that you can't use it up close - it just has a different pattern than I expected. At about 30 feet in my basement it has more light in the hotspot than my Arc 4+ with a UCL. In comparing it in a lit room to the Nuwai Q3 - which is a very similar size light and LED - the Surefire blows away the Q3. At about 20 feet I barely see the Q3 hot spot but the E1L is very bright.

The Surefire just wanted to jump right on top that Benchmade balance itself there /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

270winchester- I don't know if you have an Inova T1, but if so, or if you've seen one, how does the overall length compare? The Inova uses TIROS as well- just curious if Surefire got the whole thing down in a smaller package (for 3 times the price). The E1L looks really tempting- it would be awesome if they could come out with a two stage version, but I suppose that would make the L1 obsolete.

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

The Inova T1 is listed as being 4.59" long. The E1L is a little under 4" long (see the photo I posted earlier in this thread where it is beside an E2e + old KL1 and the E2W-BY Winelight II for reference).

Not to speak for 357, but as i said on another post, all my 3 KL-1's out throw my T1 by a good margin, and seem equal with my T3, one, (the worst tinted, sorta greenish) out throw's the T3.
I like my E1L, but you can knock another half inch off the size of the KL-1 with a Vital gear FB-1 body. I got two setups of this light and love it can't loose with either one.VDG

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

The E2L is now available here. They also list the E1L.

Thank you to nexro for sharing this link. He posted it in the other thread about these in the Dealer's Corner forum.

Re: I bought an E1L outdoorsman today (am i first?

yay! just bought an E1L which shipped today. Can't wait to play around with it.
Quick question, I've seen some specs that say 25 lumen for 4 hours, then some specs that say 25 lumen for first hour, then diminishing light after.
Can someone clarify?
