I need a relay circuit

I have a Ford chassis motorhome that I pull our Jeep with. I have the jeep wired with a towed rigs harness with a 4 way plug in the front. When I plug it in, everything works, but the relay in the mh is not heavy duty enough to give much of a turn signal on the Jeep. The dealers I've talked to all say that no one makes a heavy duty flasher for the Ford. I just have to live with it.

My question is, could a small relay be wired to a short 4 way trailer harness so that the signal from the mh turn signal triggers the relay that pulls power from the Jeep and flashes the turn signals? I would think it would work as long as the power came from the Jeep. What does everyone think? Is it possible? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You might try your local auto parts store for the headlight/fog light relays. Also for a turn signal you should add a diode (1N4002 or similar)across the relay coil, cathode (lined end)toward the positive connection on the relay coil. The diode makes it easier on the signal flashers, just make sure you put it in as stated.
