I'm looking to spend less than 100 dollars, but if what I need turns out to be more I'll just save and get it later.

I'd like a light that is 6in or less, but I'm flexible here.
The simpler the UI, the better. If the light comes with a strobe I'd like it to be a "hidden" mode.

For this light I'm interested in mostly flood. A usable throw would be nice, but I'd really like a bright area light.

One thing that I'm finding myself concerned about for the first time is the color of the beam. I'm looking for something a little warmer than cool white (but not "stained bed sheet" warmer) , but really I just want something that doesn't look :green:. I recently purchased an XML light. For throwing it's nice but up close the color is weird.

Lastly a forward clicky is preferred.

You should look into a p60 host and a drop-in from nailbender.
The new Solarforce L2T looks good, and a neutral XM-L drop-in with an OP reflector should give a very floody beam. If need be, put some difuser film on the lens. For less than $80 you get a few hundred floody, neutral lumens.

Where can I buy a neutral drop-in?
