My power came on just hours ago, and I seem to have made it through BLACK OUT 2003. Although I still don't have water pressure.

NONE of my neighbors were as prepared as me. In total, I loaned out 4 flashlights, and ~6 D cell batteries out to neighbors in need last night. It felt good to hand out Mag 3D's, my L1, and a scorpion to those who were on weak minimags with low batteries.

My wife at I used G2's and scorpions which was more than enough. The Tigerlight never got used, as I was unsure when the power would come back on to charge it.

The 1 tool that was even more valuable, was my police scanner, I was getting MUCH more local information on it, than I was the basic radio stations. Highly reccomended for those who don't have one!

My Power came on about 15 minutes ago (Warren, MI). I wonder if people are going to poke fun at me anymore for carrying a flashlight? I am also open to accept apologies from the less than entheusiastic people I gave flashlights to as gifts. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
