:mecry::mecry:

So the whole story began when my girlfriend came home one evening and told me that the PD had been through the wash! This is an older Aluminum Seoul modded PD that I have been letting her use since the purchase of my Ti Mule Mizer. The light had been wet before and was performing the same way(only the high would light)... so I proceeded to do the same thing that worked last time. I unscrewed the circuit board from the head and gave it a quick blast of dust-off. A quick test showed that both high and low worked, so I began to put the light back together.

When I was aligning the circuit board to screw it in, the negative led wire broke off of the board. At this time I still wasn't worried because the light was only a simple solder away from being fixed. To make a long story short, I believe I have fried the Board on my PD. I was using the wrong tip on my weller soldering iron and gave the board too much heat.

Don, I was wondering what it would take to replace the board. I am kind of hoping that you have a spare one laying around... I have checked the shoppe and didn't see any of these for sale. I would prefer to replace it myself because I would have repaired the light sooner then if I sent it away, but if you would like to take a look at it, a trip to Hawaii could be arranged.

Any help or suggestions to getting my baby back up and running would be greatly appreciated.

does anybody know where I can find a replacement circuit board? Also... I have a multimeter and I was wondering if there was any way to test the board that I have? Right now my PD doesn't work and its devastating. Please help, somebody.

It is highly likely that Milkyspit could set you up with something nice as well if Don doesn't have anything available.

Aepoc,
Sorry I didn't respond sooner. Things have been less than ideal at this end with forum access and other stuff that has kept me away from the computer. I will respond to your e-mail shortly.

"X2" converters as an aftermarket available item would be up to Wayne but I can help you out in your situation.

I received the X2 converter in the mail today (the holiday caused the delay)and began to assemble my PD. About an hour into it with nothing accomplished, I decided to wait and order another tip for my soldering iron. I don't feel like messing this one up too.

I would like to thank you McGizmo for sending me the X2 converter on the front. I will be in touch.

let us know how it goes, I've been soldering on my McLuxIII-T, but not on the board, but I've been thinking to replace the board with a lower low than average.
Would be nice to have a 10 or 15 mAh low since I updated the LuxIII with a Seoul :)
And I liked the lux' low but I also like the Seouls high a lot :D
Odd, first you mod it brighter, then you want to make it more dim.
Strange people here.
And I'm curious how difficult it is to change the wires on the board.

Take care for this little nice thing!

It shouldn't be too difficult. I have soldered wires onto a board before with smaller radioshack irons. I recently acquired a really nice weller soldering iron and I was using the wrong tip... which made it really difficult. I am currently waiting on a smaller conical tip. Hopefully this new addition will make things a bit easier.
