Hi, I have a Mac Mini HID that runs on 3 X 17670 and I really love its throw capability... my only gripe is that its only putting out about 600+ lumens max...

Is there anything on the market that puts out at least 2500 lumens or more, preferably 3000 lumens actually, but in a size no larger than a Mag2D??? in fact, the smaller the better...:D

I know that Polarion HID is relatively small but that's way too rich for my blood.... anything that costs $500 and below and can put out this amount of light in that size factor that I'm looking for?? Can it be done??

Does any of you know if there are any modders on CPF that can do this? As far as I know, only Mac has made any custom HID and he has only done so with 10W HID....

Anyone can recommend a model or a modder that I can look at??

Thanks

Thanks for the replies...

I'm really looking for 2500 lumens or more. I'm quite familiar with the WE and Microfire line of HIDs and am asking if there are other alternatives other than these 2 companies....

Any custom ones that someone knows of cos the stock ones all appear to be rather long other than the Microfire Warrior III K3500R.

The Polarion P2 is the closest light I can think of that meets your size/output specs... it is slightly longer than a 3D Maglite, at an advertised 3,500 lumens. It retails for $1,495 according to the site.

This is as close as practical to your goal of 3,000 lumens for under $500 (you mean 500 USD?). With this type of output, heatsinking will be required, and for a flashlight most of the heatsinking is the "conduction" method, meaning higher output means a larger, heavier flashlight.

Your next best option is Microfire K3500R in my opinion.... it's lower output than you want, but you'll have an extra $1,000 left in your pocket, and it'll be easier to resell on the forum once you get tired of it. ;-)
