I want to make my Borealis an LED light

I've got a Borealis that is 2 years old now. It's great and has been a lot of fun but I want to mix it up. Right now it runs on 9 AA cells and burns an incandescent bulb.

My goal is to make it an LED that is still really bright and will turn heads, with a longer burn time than I have now.

What are my options? I don't want to spend a lot of money and still want something really bright.

MC-e, 3 crees? Anything that is close to drop in, even if it's custom?

Hope I'm making sense, I'm on little sleep due to a new born.
Thanks.

generally, the components used in an incan mod are completely different from an LED mod but a few things are transferable

the 9AA to 3D adapter can be taken and used. the host 3D can be used and the switch maybe.

the reflector and lens can be used but they arent the best, better to use the stock mag reflector and UCL lens

after that, youll need a heatsink

and an LED

I know that LED's are different as I have done many cree mods on my vehicle. I was wondering about drivers and heat sinks. The mag heads are large and I figure there is room in there for improvement. I own several Cr123 powered lights and have had them all apart and the internals are quite small.

I just thought because I already have a host with more than 12V it would be a little easier.

Am I correct about the switch in my light? A KIU? Can this be used?

And with drivers, is there something I should be looking for?
