Idea: Arc-AAA "always on" mode (easy)

Here is an idea that would be easy to implement...

Fact 1) The Arc-AAA LED is "potted" (according to Stingmon). This means that the circuit is assembled, and liquid platic is poured over it to protect it.

Fact 2) You can get a glow-in-the-dark powder (discussed on this forum) that can be added to plastic.

Idea: Add the powder to the "potting plastic." Before bedtime, turn on the light for two seconds. Then, in the middle of the night, you can find your flashlight easily. The LED would glow a faint green (or blue) for hours.

Any comments on this????
Would this be a good idea for the next "special edition" Arc AAA???

I like that idea.

How long would the glow stuff stay bright?

I use "Alien Skin" in most flashlights. I cut out a small circle...punch out for led/s and it works marginally fine.
Small trivia... a BLUE photon will make Alien Skin GLOW BRIGHTLY with just a moment of exposure...must be something in the blue.

Each blue photon (the elementary particle, not the flashlight) has more energy than any other visible color (except violets and purples). Simple quantum theory.

It would be hard to add something like this to the ARC-AAA, as there is no way to open it.

I put my keys on my Traser Glowring keychain. I put my Arc-AAA on my lanyard that came with my silver (smoke) CMG Infinity, and wear it around my neck. Tough to lose it that way.
