Identify this cheap driver

Found this among some stuff today where it really didn't belong. Ergo, I am thinking I had a special purpose for it when I stashed it there. I have lost my special purpose 🙁
Anyone seen this before? I am assuming its a linear driver. Couldn't find much about the IC, no data sheet anyhow. Did find this thread:

Anyhow, here is the driver:

It should be clear, but the board has a marking, S-17S. The IC on the right is marked YK01. In the upper left the solder pad has some left over wire that I am thinking must have gone to an emitter. The pad at the bottom marked L+ well, thats a mystery. Is it LED + or inductor? I think it's a linear driver so I wouldn't expect it to mean inductor.
 
A few of my lights had drivers like that and they had no current limiting, just direct drive with PWM dimming for different modes.
