I did a quick search of the previous postings, but didn't notice any pertaining to identifying the MNxx (MN01, MN02, MN03) bulbs for the SF "E" series lights.

Short of sticking 'em in the lights and turning them on, is there a color code to the plastic bases? I don't see any type of marking or labeling on the bulb assemblies themselves.

(My spares are currently "sorted" and ID'ed, but I am wondering, for reference.)

I also recommend you avoid 'testing' a MN01 in a 6V body, you might find out that it's a 3V lamp by the fact that it goes pop /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif the color chart is far more reliable, except when Surefire mis-tags them....

I have a P90 lamp with a silver P90 9V sticker which came in a P90 bag, that popped IMMEDIATELY on 3 x 123s. Looking into the front end, I realized that there is a ROUND bulb in there, and to the best of my knowledge, the only P-series bulb that ever came with a rounded tip is a P60. I'm wondering if someone mis-tagged it by accident, it's an interesing curiosity that I keep around.

Surefire made it up to me anyway so it's all good /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif
