I'm building a new TITANIUM flashlight, I'd love your feedback!

Thanks for checking back, Josh. Unfortunately, one has to be registered at Instagram to see anything there, so YouTube might be considered for the general public.

Roughly how low is moonlight/lowest mode?
No other modes like SOS, strobe, etc?
Is there any parasitic drain on the battery when "off"?
Are the battery tubes tolerent of slightly large cells?
Would R8 handle two RCR123 cells?
Would you sell bare LED MCPCBs to let us reflow our own?

Thanks!

The design looks good, the rocker switch interesting enough for me to order a stonewashed Ti R4 (SFT 40) with blue anodized bezel/clip. Looking forward to give it test drive :)

I would also like to know the output specs

he posted there are no other modes:
"Tail switch has memory at whatever ramp setting selected and half click will trigger boost tactical without click. No other fancy features or any other confusing UI features."

yes there are Replacement Copper-Core Boards

Unless I'm mistaken, all of the LED boards offered are already mounted with LEDs - none are bare.

I actually am fine with no other funky modes, just wanted to confirm.

I'm more of a 14500 type, as it's the largest battery I feel comfortable in my pocket.

Titanium or zirconium.
Tail stand, tail clicky, good UI, good moon light/strobe/turbo.
Deep carry clip.
More throw than flood.
Aux lights, maybe even UV (great for spotting stains and glowing GITD).
Tritium slots.
Precise machining.

I don't mind spending $200+ for a well made light.

Ordered the mag-lock knife and got the rampant sticker, guess it's a sign to buy one haha!

Anyway, just thought I'd share all the bonus items included. 3 stickers, nice utility knife case with extra razor storage inside.

That's why I went with the reflector option. Never seen a tir beam that I liked.

Any clear TIR isn't gonna be perfect or as good as a beam pattern as an orange peel reflector. A Dedomed 519 (which that looks like that's what it is) is definitely gonna have artifacts from a TIR. Not a fault from the maker, it's just what it is

Order placed 12/8, projected delivery 12/24.

If you have read the owner Josh's posts here, he has been upfront about a lot, including his wife and another employee being the only workers. I think shipping will be quicker after the initial release batch.

Josh's comments about preferring to make them in USA but being realistic about the price people are willing to spend, is spot on admirable.

Like his knives, maybe he will be able to make more and more components of the flashlight here. I would like to get a larger head (reflector) to get more throw with a dedomed 519A 5700K, but I can wait.

So thinking if I ordered my new Nichia 519 5000K Titanium R8 on Christmas day(Dec.25th)..

It would hopefully show up on Jan.8th or so?

(I'm also going for the reflector version,I think.)

Going for the stonewashed titanium.

Regarding the reddit comments:

Dimensions are obvious on the website. The rocker switch takes substantial space, as does the tailcap switch.

People who have not used TIR before might complain, playing with it out of the box as opposed to going out and using it for a while. Once again this is not a design fault, it is a design decision.

Ramping speed could be a legitimate issue, or not. Making this kind of comment without using it for a while, is possibly further evidence of the fast food culture we live in.

It is important to remember that the website graphics and specifications indicate additional capabilities to get quick access to low and high, etc. Josh admits that he was scrambling to get this out to us, and made some copy errors. I like the guy.
