IMS reflector thermal issues?

I'm not certain if such an aspect was discussed here, searching not provided any result, so I want to ask if you have an experience with IMS reflectors and high LED and flashlight body temperatures?

I'm affraid that plastic reflector tightly screwed in hot aluminium case, touching to the even hotter LED will melt and deform in extremely cases.

I don't want to risk damaging four new IMS20's so I want to ask first.

The LED isn't hot, the heatsink and surrounding flashlight body can be. I've had no problems with my 12 watt tri-lux and it's 20mm IMS.

The metal-ring around the Led-dome at the Cree's could be problem at higher driving rates.
