Incoming - What do you have coming in the mail??

I've got the Cold Steel near clone of the Matriarch.
A wicked thing of beauty.

(Would have bought the real thing, but Spyderco doesn't make a plain-edge version of her.)
No I think it's supposed to be a combat style knife and it's only available serrated because that's part of the design. That's actually the reason why I bought it I've always wanted to try properly serrated pocket knife. Not for combat or anything just because I wanted to try one. And their knives can be difficult to obtain without the ridiculous Canadian markup

Yes, supposed to be used in a reverse-grip with the edge out. Ideal for those with a lack of knife combatives training though. Simply hook the leg or the crotch, yank upwards.

Just want to point out, the knock offs are good for getting the general idea of the original design but even if the serrations look the same they might not perform as well as the original.

Even though I prefer and carry a plain edge, serrations have their place and some of the serrated knives I have, the company did a good job and they work as intended and some are useless even though they are manufactured by a brand name.

Ya we will see. Apparently their spiderco knock offs have been tested and it really vg 10 and heat treated well. Not saying it's as good as the original, but ya it's nice to get an idea.

The small downturned plain edge tip has actually been awesome for opening packages and such. Much better than tilting the handle way up to get the tip of a bellied knife to bite in. Similar to a wharncliff in use but an even better located tip

Oveready P20 body in type II orange. To go with my recently acquired 2nd hand ZRS tailcap.
It's currently being processed by UK customs.

My Eneloop stash tends to start getting low this time of year and ramps up through Christmas. Decorations come out that need batteries. Ordered more AA and AAA Eneloops and through in a BT-C2400 charger to keep those Eneloops juiced up. Also may have added an Olight I3E to the cart at the last second as well. :) Had almost the exact amount to cover everything in my PayPal account from a ukulele I sold.

More like, what don't I have coming in the mail! But okay, flashlight related ONLY....

Took advantage of the Black November sale over at Battery Junction. Got a Nitecore E4K along with a Nitecore EDC 27. Each one for 33% off. And used some of my rewards points to get another $25.oo off on top of that. So instead of $180.oo into total. Got both for a tick over $103.oo (best deal I've gotten all year)!

Then a day or two later, I decided I wanted another multi-fuel light. Researched the heck out of what was available. Realized nothing out there better than my Streamlight Protac 1L-1AA model.... So I bought another one! This time in Coyote Tan since my first one is Black.

Think about it. It can run off of one CR123A lithium primary, 1AA alkaline. And, although not approved by Streamlight, yes; you can toss in a 1AAA alkaline as well. Though you have to be careful inserting the battery, and don't bump the light. Plus, now that 3.0 volt rechargeable CR123A lithium batteries exist, you can toss one of those in there too. Without adapters, spacers, sleeves. Keeping track of those tiny items. Careful not to lose them! No need, with the SL Protac 1L-1AA model. Sooo versatile. Okay, only 350 rated lumens. But for a back-up takes-everything-flashlight in a pack or in the car; good luck finding something better in terms of what it eats as batteries.

....and completely forgot to mention the Fenix E-Spark I purchased before all of those other lights. Sorry about that. Yes, I order so much gear, including lights, that I sometimes forget what I'm waiting on. Really should stop doing that. (I mean the forgetting.) 😁

Smith & Wesson Galaxy Micro Ray keychain flashlight.

Why? I have a ton of batteries for it. Need to use those up.
Not even kidding.

Getting ready for the winter season, so I've got a non-ultra, narrow Peak Eiger (single mode, no QTC) in the warm, high CRI coming in. I might rotate my Surefire Titan out of my pocket for this, on account of the ugly beam in the Surefire.

For around the house, I've got a M31W and M61WLL coming from Malkoff with an unshrouded 16340 body. I tried a warm SST-20 earlier this year, and it's absolutely beautiful. I think I'm going to find the M61WLL in that unshrouded body as my new "desk light" for winter.

And then, just in case some kind of Chinese tariffs hit, I picked up some WEIRD drop-ins from Kaidomain, haha.
Getting a W1, and then a red and amber drop-in. I paid the extra $6 and $8 respectively for their 18650 and 21700 hosts. If I don't like the hosts, I have some people I know who are curious about the idea, so I might gift them away. I tend to not use/keep much of the larger cell lights, anyway, so it was mostly with the intention to eventually give them away, but I'm willing to be impressed (but tempering my expectations).

Response to the fake Spyderco's. I buy the real thing. The real Matriarch is amazing with the fancy opener that the name escapes me at this moment. I also got the Endela with straight edge and same fancy opener that i suddenly remember is called the "Emerson Opener" i think. It's amazing how it opens the knife as i have always found the Spyderco's with the back lock are very slow and stiff openers. The Emerson blade opener solves that. I always wanted a Civilian but price and availability made me consider the Matriarch and i have total been satisfied. I avoid the Chinese Spyderco's mainly because of the inferior steel they use. Other reasons but doesn't seen to stop me from purchasing flashlights made there?

More Olights. 4 more Spheres (on sale of course)
And a Baton 4 Premium as i like the concept bundled with an additional sphere. These spheres are gonna be everywhere in the house. Lol. Definitely everyone in my immediate family family will be gifted one for Christmas.

H4 is here, and damn, that's a nice headlamp. Despite being cool white I'm already liking it better than my old SP40. The TIR lens spread and lower modes will certainly come in handy, as will the increased battery capacity.

Olight Warrior 2 just notified is out for delivery.
Olight is preparing my latest purchase S1R Baton 2 x 2 (and my free Olight Beanie lol) got two because i get that free shipping.
I wasn't getting any more this year but hey a free beanie come on man!
Also i didn't want to pay $58 for the Baton 2 as the Baton 4 is $43 and slightly better but i was browsing the Olight sight and in my accounts rewards section or gifts section really confusing i noticed i earned a price of $35 for the Baton 2. Seemed a no brainer. These small lights are highly addictive. And it's in the 20's here 40's a high so that beanie will get some use for sure.
