I'd like to know where a good place is to get boost drivers that could be used to operate a Cree or Seoul LED with regulate output, I have a few projects in mind:

1) Fixing various 2-cell LED lights that have broken or damaged regulators
2) Modding 2-Cell maglites to drive LEDs (I already know about heatsinks etc)
3) Changing a RCR123 Direct Drive light, to a regulated primary CR123 light

I was wondering what the cheapest options were in this category? Most of the drivers I have found available in small quanity (read: not wholesale) are well over $20 shipped. I'd like to find something closer to $10, if possible.

+1 on the Micropuck - Zetex based (=potentially tweakable). ;)
I wondered that after seeing the ZXSC310 datasheet, just didn't get around to asking. Really. :) How stroppy do the micropucks get now?

I'd say the Micropuck
Probably very dim(but long runtime) the Dorcy AAA has a boost driver and it is only $6 at Wal-mart.
The Badboy is about $13 but I don't know about the price with shipping.

Another vote for the micropuck from me, and if it's not bright enough, use two micropucks, or three !
