Is anyone here from Australia and own an Infinity?
If so how much did it cost and where did you get it.
I've been trying to email the Aus importers Zen, but they haven't replied.
If anyone else wants to tell me more- besides what I've already read- about Infinitys I am keen to here more.
i.e. With the new model does the clip come off or ist it attached?

Thanks peoples

Hi Melmso, I'm from Australia. Perth, as you notice from my details. I believe Michael Yates of Zen Imports looks at this website regularly. Not sure if he is a registered member.

I have both the Infinity and the Arc-AAA flashlight. At this time, I believe that Zen only imports Photons. I had to buy the lights through the internet from overseas.

Personally, I bought from www.glow-bug.com Not the cheapest place, I think, but reliable service. Some of the other internet retailers like www.brightguy.com seem to be pretty good with lower prices and I will probably make my next purchase from there.

I can't comment on the clip on the new model, but believe it is sold unattached. Personally, I am quite taken with the brightness of the Arc-AAA, which is far superior to the Infinity. I would still get one or two more Infinities primarily for the long run time it can deliver. But for day to day use, the Arc-AAA would be my first choice.

Thanks guys for that.
Well, reluctantly I have succomed to the forces of the light side!
I had my heart so set on an Infinity because they look so good. But it looks like I will be getting an Arc AAA. The light seems so much better.

Man it is so good to have found this forum. For so long I have been an absolute torch craving maniac. All I do is look on the net for torches. Sometimes over a whole day.

You guys are my family!

Clip and lanyard come with Infinity in backside pocket of plastic package. The springy clip slides around and off the barrel just like you do with ballpen. Got my (2) white/silver Infinity from Patrick of TAD.

Infinity white w/ 41+ hrs. of useable light serves' as great backup to Arclite's 5-hr bright light. I'm using lithium AA battery so I can just let my Infinity sit in my everyday carry bag or jeans pocket without worrying too much of battery shelf-life and leak while waiting for its turn to shine.

Melmso,
If you really want a treat, check out Craig Johnson's LED Museum, The Punishment Zone, "Where flashlights come to die" (or something like that). He has reviews on MANY of the lights you will find discussed here. The address is ledmuseum.home.att.net (I wish I knew how to post a link here)

Or, if you see a post by "Telephony" (that's Craig), you can click on the icon on the bottom of his posts.

Also, great are sites by Brock, and Chris. I'm sure someone will post their addresses for you. (One day I'm gonna get me some o' that education stuff, so I can be computer smart like all them other guys ...)

Anyway, WELCOME to the forum ...er, family!
