i am thinking about ordering an infinity ultra on the internet. Can someone tell me a good site to order from that had good service and delivery time? oh yeah, by the way, how good is the circuit on this? does it truly give u 25 "peak" hours, or is it the good old downwards incline that we've all come to know and hate?

Unfortunately I have been a little disappointed with my Ultra even though I recognise that it is a well designed and finely made light.
Beam: wider angle of dispersion than ARC AAALe, but much shorter throw. I miss the ARC's "center spot" which I find so useful for walking on dark nights.
Runtime: A big disappointment here. The light, equipped with fresh Energizer lithium AA's showing 1.76v, was turned on at 12:30AM last night (this morning) and not checked until 5:30 this afternoon. After only seventeen hours the beam was extremely weak, literally a slight fraction of the brightness of a fresh standard Infinity. My only reason for buying this light was for the bright runtime. I believe now that it may make more sense to carry an Attitude or a Clipper 3, which is just slightly larger than the Infinity (shorter and a little wider) but much brighter. Perhaps I just got a lemon, but so far I haven't even been able to make any lemonade.

The more widely dispersed beam is a little disappointing. It makes an LED light even more of a "flood" light than a spot beam. However, it might make it a great light for reading at night.
It is clearly brighter than my Infinity Blue-Green. Although, I'm not sure it is enough brighter to warrant the additional cost. Maybe the cost will come down as they become more commonly available (the Infinity is like that).

So...although I was initially a little disappointed, I think on balance, this is a really nice light. Let's watch how the prices go as the availability improves. I think it ought to drop a few dollars to get it back into the good cost/value space.
If I had to buy a single LED light today for camping or a hiking back up light with really great run time...I've no doubt I'd pick the regular Infinity Blue-Green for $12.
Although on that point, part of what makes me think that is that the Infinity Blue-Green is already such an excellent value ($12 at TTS vs. $21 for the Ultra at Triple Aught Design).
So...at $21, the Ultra isn't worth the premium over the regular Infinity for $12, but that's also driven by that excellent value point at $12. Hard to beat that for LED value!
Although...if you are looking for a keychain light that can also double in this camping/hiking backup role, I'd get the ARC AAA ($20 at TTS).
