hi group,
im into shooting at night using a home made night vision set up.

i mainly go for rats and rabbits the problem i have is that at present im using a halogen logun gun lamp with an infra red photographic filter which is fine up to 10-15 metres or ratting, i also have a small infra red laser 300 mw ? which is ok for about 20-25 metres what i need is something that can go for 35-40 metres but im on a serious budget.

if anyone can recommend a cheap sourse of i/r then please let me know

kind regards simon

What's your budget? If you want to modify your other light, it should be a pretty simple process, if the LED is soldered to a small metal board. You might have to add a resistor to correct for the voltage though, or use 2 AAA batteries instead of 3.

You could pick up a Solarforce L2 host for around $20 and get a nailbender IR drop in for $35. $55 total.

What is your budget?
