Inova X5 Battery

Hi pink_buuny. I believe that the Inova X5 runs on two 123 lithium batteries. Can somebody verify this for sure?

Yes, and in my opinion except for its sleekness it is not a good buy. The Streamlight 4AA runs about as long and is brighter...but bigger.

If you're going to spend $50 on a 2-123 light, spend $70 for an Arc sLS and get a 1-123 light that is brighter and lasts longer at full brightness...about 2x as bright!

HOWEVER, we all love the right light running off 123s which can be had for less than $2 each on eBay and less than $3 each on the Web--good ones, too! I've paid as little as $1 each on eBay.

Cheers,

Richard

I actually bought an Inova X5-T but had to return it due to poor beam quality, especially the blue one. It had too much rings and circles which are unfortunately a typical characteristic of a blue LED. It uses two lithium cr123A batteries which can cost from anywhere between $9 to $12. Although not a bad light, but like rlhess said, I'd rather spend $70 on an ARC LS.

I was seriously considering the Inova X5 (the original) when I first saw it in a store. I like the "tactical" version even better, but still never bought one. I did buy an Arc LS because it is so bright and compact.....not to mention that the single 123 battery version of it is so cool when you see that much light coming out of such a small package. Wonderful beam pattern to them as well.

The inove X5 and X5T runs on 2 X 123 battery. the battery price for me is not a problem, I get the battery around US$1.3/each and I will get around 10 for each time.

Actually I also have the problem on the INOVA X5T which the "DIM" effect when I push the battery too deep, it will being to "DIM".

So anyone know how to dis-assamble the head, because I want to fix this problem and also to take a look can I change all the LED to UV LED.

I love my X5T.....very bright & PERFECT beam! It is also very cool looking - everybody who sees it wants one.
