input needed for quad

Hi,

I have a malkfoff quad cree and I am currently running it in a 4D mag with 4 accupower lsd cells. It runs great but it is quite large.

I was kicking around using it in a 2d mag using 3c cells and cutting down the tail spring. Has anyone done this? How much of the tail spring do I need to cut off?

About a third or quarter of the spring should do it. A shortened C spring would probably be better.
Make sure the end of the spring contacting the cell is neatened up so it dows not drill into the cell.
