I'm planning a mod using a Romisen RC-T5 from DX as a host.
Basic plan is to have rewire LEDs in series, and use a Fatman boost puck to drive at 1000ma max. If i'm reading the specs correctly, a 2 mode clicky with resistors should provide dimming instead of an external pot. Only problem I see is that i wont have a way to turn it off (short of disconnecting battery)
To rectify this I'd like to use a maxflex, does anyone know of a decent source of momentary tailswitches with reasonable shipping costs to UK? Or has anyone tested one of the gun pressure switches from DX?
I'm Planning on drilling the extension tube to get the battery cable in, then epoxying this to the head as and when everything is working ok.
Whole thing is to get mounted on my helmet to complement my 4xR2 cutter lamp. Are there any obvious issues with this I'm missing (short of potential heat issues with driving them at 1 amp, whch is easily rectified by change of resistor for fatman, or even easier with maxflex).
