Instaflashed ROP-Hi

I have a 6DMag I used to build a ROP and I've instaflashed the high bulb.

Based on my research Instaflash shouldn't be a huge concern for the ROP.

The switch has been made low resistance. I've removed the spring tail resistance fix.

Is there something I'm missing?

What batteries did you use? Maybe you used the batts straight off the charger (higher voltage) and that caused the flash....

The ~4amp draw of the ROP is a cakewalk for just about any good D size NIMH on the market (even the cheapo china tenergy/powerizers will dump 20 amps for breakfast).... Combine that with resistance fixes, poof. In some cases, leaving some resistance in place is a good thing.

I popped all my Hi's gonna have to order more. I'm using the Lows right now.

I'm using Powerizer brand 10Amp Ds. The cells rested about 4 hours.

Well at least the instaflashes were some of the brightest I've seen looking a camera flash.
