Seems like a member here was talking about us somehow being able to order what we want and somehow Andy would be able to build to each member´s request and somehow Malkoff would build them and the Group-Buy Master would be able to somehow send each custom dropin to the requestor. Would that probably increase errors? Is it even possible?

What I remember is that 519a is not keen to ¨pedal to the metal behavior¨, becoming useless permanently.

Anything more than 4 amps will fry the LED...just a matter of when.
The longer you push it the shorter the life will be.
The 519a shines happy below 2.2 amps.
At 1.4 amps it's sending 480 lumens. That's the sweet spot identified by the datasheet.
Some hardcore users will send 4 amps all day every day.

I just googled Malkoff M61 and the info said it runs at 6V...
the 519a is a 3V LED, so I imagine it would probably not survive w that driver..
but, I dont have any first hand Malkoff understanding.. if there is a version that runs 219b, then 519a will work fine..

This thread is not for anything named direct drive, but I will now say 519a dedome to not confuse anyone… going to talk to my wife tonight to see if she can help me with this group but if I decide to lead it. It can be hard since I’m always on the road.

Since this GB is set for 519a 4500k dd, which one do y'all want....because there's seven different 519a 4500k, each with its own color characteristics.

What additional costs are involved with this? Having never bought in to a group-buy, what does Andy get? Are people charged what the actual shipping is for their location? Or shipping costs divided equally instead? Is the estimated final cost pretty reliable?
