Battery is unavoidable unfortunately, now the driver? I need more info on the driver Malkoff uses, is it Chinese? What driver does he use?

As much as I know Don McLeish created the McClicky and OP reflector, I’m guessing he outsourced his invention overseas and now it’s made in China? Or am I missing something here..
Yes, unfortunately Gizmo has the switches made in China. I am not sure if the parts ever were made in USA

Every component on every driver is overseas. Malkoff drivers are 7135 chip based.
I’m pro-Merica, but buying chinese components is required to fully enjoy the flashlight hobby.
Malkoff Hard-users are missing out on a lot of fun lights and options by not venturing out

I agree and I’m pro USA as well. I recently acquired a Reylight mini copper pineapple with a 519a 4500k DD emitter, been enjoying it very much and along with my Zebralights

Looks like a disassembled Laulima Ion (Slim?) host with a copper pill ready for a driver and emitter.

I have a Ti Malihini (18350) 219c triple, H17fx. The owner Joshua is great guy to deal with.
519a 4500k triple would be nice upgrade, but 219c 4000k is pretty nice as well

Laulima is as good as it gets.
Josh will send you a complete light engine that just requires you to unscrew the old one and screw in the new one with snap ring pliers.
He uses epoxy on the PCB wires and the PCB itself so the only option is to order a new engine....but it's nice option.
Oveready has 519a in a BOSS flashlight. Those looking to buy USA and understand those flashlights are worth more than $600 better act soon.

As we all wait for Malkoff to put out a 519a…
I took some American made 3M sand paper and took off the top layer on this 18650 light. Sanded down the button, added an o-ring per @jon_slider , then added an American made Zhu triple optic, Japanese made LEDs hand selected by Andy Zhu (5700k 519a dedomed)
